On Facebook, I Mean Really Dude has a group where members are allowed to share articles, videos, questions and photos that lead to open conversations without judgment. It's becoming very popular and I couldn't be more proud.
I have asked members to promote the group by adding their friends and I have been doing the same. The problem with Facebook groups is instead of asking the permission of the individual, such as Facebook Pages does, it will just put a person into the group automatically.
Now, in my experience, if I don't want to be a part of a group I will just go to the group settings and delete myself. Usually this is in the cases of a group being full of nonsense or things completely opposite to what I believe. Other than that, I make no bones about it.
However, over the last two days men, and only men, have been sending me messages asking me to remove them from the group. A couple of them going as far as saying, "You have never said a word to me so why would you want me to be a part of your group."
